Sunday Blog
What a filled but joyful weekend!
This summer has blown by for me and what was suppose to feel like a long haul has turned into me wondering where the time went. We started the weekend by enjoying Atlanta’s biggest farmer’s market ( according to Instagram) in the heart of Buckhead. The morning was cool and a gentle breeze blew through the trees. The sun was peeking out just enough for you to feel the warmth on your face and not have your whole body totally drenched with sweat. We walked through each booth enamoring at all of the local goodies and making a plan for what we were going to bring home. I had my heart set on making homemade birria tacos while Casey had his set on trying all of the pastries. We enjoyed multiple pastries that honestly melted in our mouths and left us wanting more. Little Tarts Bakeshop is going to be one of our pitstops every time we enter the city. The atmosphere of the market was energizing as the crowd was diverse in age and backgrounds, the music was popping, and not going to live I love watching other people’s dogs as well. I grabbed a 3 pound chuck roast from a local farmer and we called it a day. Also, I was one hundred percent looking up apartments in a ten minute radius though my bank account can not afford any type of rent in Buckhead,
The rest of our Saturday was filled with pickleball, pasta, and napping! We love that we are close to our family to enjoy a weekend meal since for the past couple of years we did live far away.
Sunday rolled around and is now a day that Casey, Asher, and I look forward to the most! Since coming to ATL we desperately wanted to find a church that we could call home and “ do life” with people. We are beyond thankful that we found that at LIIV Atlanta. Every Sunday we leave talking about what stood out to us in the message or service, how serving in the pre-school room is tiring but totally worth it, and how we can’t wait to get more plugged in! There was a moment today during service were it hit me like a ton of bricks. I felt as though there was a comfort around me imitating a hug and yet I felt light as well. Hearing people from different backgrounds and cultures coming together as one to sing that Jesus is worthy gave me a glimpse of Heaven. Oh to be in a place where God’s presence is so evident!!
We capped the day off with a 2 mile walk at what will now be a regular spot. It wore myself and Asher out!
It was a great weekend ! All of the activities are linked below!
